Christmas Comes to Cancun

For the past week we've had 25 guests staying with us - they were here with the sole purpose of spreading Christmas cheer to the children, teens, and families that God has put in our path over the past few months.

17 women and one man (dear friend, and recording artist Craig Aven), along with 7 of our fellow staff women from Monterrey came together to join us in a schedule that only God himself could have put together. And what we experienced together was nothing short of miraculous.

Traditionally this Women's Christmas Trip descends upon Monterrey each year, but this year they made the decision to join in on what God was doing here - and we have no doubt that their visit was timely.

Before the women came we explained that many of our ministry relationships here in Cancun are new, and still being formed. We explained that the experience would be very different from what they might be used to in Monterrey. But that nonetheless we were excited to have them, and we knew that God would bless our time together. And He did JUST THAT. Together we saw lives blessed, and hearts won over to the Lord. When you experience the Lord in such real ways, you yourself cannot help but be impacted. Our prayer for ourselves, for the women who partnered with us this week, and for the many lives we were able to touch this week is that we would ALL be forever changed. Changed by what we've seen, changed because of what we've touched, and changed by the miracle that is God's grace and His love for each of us. What a great, great way to enter the Christmas season - reminded that God is a God who still does miracles, who still changes lives.
